Patriae Commodis Serviens ie coats Lowicz

HERB OF

Lowicz Coat of Arms (called Little Herb) presents in a blue field, two pelicans with silver legs and beaks of gold, returned to their backs. Between them is a green tree of life.
image of the pelican has often been used in heraldry as the themes of stamps, crests and coats of arms of ancestral towns, has its roots in sacred art, which symbolized the sacrifice of Jesus. Tree of life according to Biblical tradition, obdarzało immortality to anyone who tasted the fruit. Grew in the middle Eden, next to the tree of knowledge from which Adam and Eve broke the fruit. God did not want to eat the fruit of another tree and became immortal, and banished them from Raju.Drzewo life was present in a number of sacred art. The cross was presented not as a tree of shame, and as the heavenly tree of life, because it springs life eternal.
If we take into account Łowicz history and its close ties with the church, it seems an obvious choice of such themes in the emblem of the city.

Herb Great Cities Lowicz coat of arms shows the coat of arms with the emblem of the City of Little Herb Lowicz called, crowned the prince's miter, held by the figures of two angels. At the bottom there is a ribbon with the motto reads: Patriae Commodis Serviens (You homeland useful).

remember from my childhood, which coincided with the end of the communist regime, arms Lowicz in a slightly different issue. Loom me Pelicans drinking the blood from his own breast, on a red field. I am not able at this time post pictures of the coat, I do not remember exactly its appearance, no way I can also delve into at this moment in the quest, and do not want to post something that would not be consistent with the historical truth. Anyway - it would unnecessarily blurred the picture. I will try to post information about this in another note.

HERB DISTRICT

This herb undoubtedly aroused the strongest emotions on the ground Lowicz. It was designed in 2002, against all rules of heraldry. Official information from the county Lowicz says:
9 October 2002. Resolution No. XLV/274/2002 Lowicz District Council was established by a coat of arms, flags (official and territorial) and the seal of the District Lowicz Lowicz Starosta. Coat - the coat of arms for the District of Lowicz shield-cut Late Gothic as a canvas for the image of the coat of arms. Shield divided into three fields, with the bottom one red, the bottom shield wider, slightly upward kończato occurring. In the red box, white eagle with a golden beak, with golden legs with golden claws and a golden ring on the tail. The second field, upper-yellow siding from the right, toward the center of the disc in the narrow strip pole in the colors green, white and red. The third box, top-yellow, from the left side track, where the disc toward the center lanes narrow into a pillar in the colors blue, white and red. The two upper boxes are mutually mirror images of their distribution in the construction of pole strips, and almost in the colors, except for the colors green and blue - mutually contradictory. Crest pattern Lowicz District No. 1 is annexed to Resolution No. XLV/274/2002 Lowicz District Council on 9 October 2002. The author of the coat is a visual artist Michelle Marciniak, MA-Kożuchowska

After passing the county arms in the press, in scientific and political debate raged about its correctness. Heraldry is after all a huge field and every symbol, every color has its significance, and here we go ... a flower. Built probably in the mind principle that the "dark people buy everything." I remember with flushed face, I read another news, I kept my fingers crossed, hoping that common sense will prevail. Unfortunately ... won dud.
